Ok so I know this wont be the MOST popular post so far but....as most of you are fully aware...I am a Red Sox fan born and raised. So on occasion I will take time out to boast about my home team. This time it's a heart warming story about Jon Lester. In his rookie year he was diagnosed with cancer but beat it and is now cancer free. Last night he threw a NO HITTER at Fenway no less. Bravo to him!! And on a side note...the catcher Jason Varitek (our team captain) will go in the record books for catching FOUR no hitters! No other catcher has caught more no hitters! Way to go Jon Lester, and way to go Red Sox...keep up the great season!

Yes, Colleen, that is such a touching story...BOO! No, just kidding - that's awesome! I do enjoy the Red Sox as well. Or maybe I just root for them because I hate the Yankees. Either way, that is quite the feat. I applaud all cancer survivors!
I'm only saying this for you... Go Red Sox! Okay that's a first and a last! :) Good story though! If I watched baseball I might be a Sox fan, of course after the Mariners.
Hey, Weena - sorry you can't see my Hawaii slideshow...I don't know why. They are beautiful, and we can't watch them without saying, "Oh, honey...when are we going back?"
